Pakistan National Cricket Team’s batsman Saim Ayub has been in the news for the past few days and it is mainly because of the injury he suffered during the Test series against the South African National Cricket Team. The young batsman picked up an ankle injury that ruled him out of the second game.
Saim Ayub got hurt trying to save a boundary, twisted his ankle and was taken off the field. The opening batsman appeared in great pain and then the batter was sent to London for a detailed medical evaluation by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), especially with the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 around the corner.

However, PCB has not made any official announcement till date. While the batsman’s inclusion in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 remains uncertain, the governing body will take a call on his inclusion in the squad subject to further medical reviews and evaluations.

The absence of Saim Ayub will leave a huge void in the Pakistan National Cricket Team as the opening batsman has been in great form. He is going through a purple patch with the bat recently when he scored two tons in the ODI series against South Africa.
Ayub then scored 14 runs in the first innings and followed it up with 27 runs in the second innings. But now it will be a big blow for Pakistan National Cricket Team if he fails to play in ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
