The extraordinary belt of the consistency of Aryna Sabalenka on the largest sports scenes rolled Sunday in New York, as World No.1 enabled the past Cristina Bucsa of Spain, 6-3, 6-2, to reserve its place in the US quarter-finals Open.

With the victory, Sabalenka has now reached the last eight in the 12 grand Slams in a row, an achievement that underlines its dominance and sustainability. She becomes the first player from Victoria Azarenka (2012-14) to reach the quarter-finals in both Australian Open and US Open in three straight seasons, and only the fourth woman who reached all four Grand Slam in one season while holding WTA rankings. Martina Hingis (2000), Lindsay Davenport (2005) and Serena Williams (2015-16) are the only others on that list.

“I’m super proud. I think this is an extraordinary achievement,” Sabalenka said. “I think the key to me was balancing life inside and outside the court. I think I have done a great job of balancing really hard work and also a great cure and a fun time outside the tennis field. I think this was the key. I feel like I am really enjoying my journey, I think this is the main thing.”
For a player once determined by instability, turning sabalenka into a consistency pattern has been nothing less than stunning. Since its progress in the open semifinal of 2021, Belarus has added three main titles and a sustainable flow of deep running in her resume, and her steadfast ability to give in the atmosphere of Slamp pressure has separated her from the package. It has also become almost inviolable in the moments of deployment, winning 18 consecutive tiebreaks.
Sabalenka with high planting will face Vondrousova markets in the quarter -finals.
