“Yes. Yes I love separation already, “Sabalenka said with a smile after losing her 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.” Maybe she made a big mistake now, but it’s okay. I will allow it to enjoy the beautiful trophy.
“No, I’m kidding. I don’t want to talk like this.
“But of course the next match, I will go out and fight even more, and I will make sure I didn’t make the same mistake I made today.”
Facing for the third time this season, Sabalenka had not lost her service against Andreeva until the third match of the second set today.
After all, 17-year-old Andreeva played with more variety, clarity and commitment below the alignment. Andreeva hit five more winners – 29 to 24 – five more aces – 6 to 1 – and withdrew from eight of the last nine points with a smart mixture of protection and offensive strikes. Andreeva broke the service of Sabalenka three times in the last set today.
It is the second final three -set loss for sabalenka this season.
The US Open champion lost its Australian Open title in a three -set classic in American Madison Keys.

After throwing the opening set, Andreeva dropped a ball into the stand and was easily in her box, including her mother and coach, the winner of Wimbledon Conchita Martinez. These explosions seemed to choose the teen.
Sabalenka said she should have managed her emotions better and channeled her anger in action in the last set.
“I was just very upset with myself, because I think, yes, it doesn’t have to be the way I finished and just got bored with myself,” Sabalenka told the Indian Wells. “I should have just dumped that aggression on that side instead of being very, very hard for myself.
“So I really wasn’t taking care of what she was doing. I knew what she would do, and nothing really surprised me. More as to me checking my anger a little better.”
