
SA20 has officially announced the line-up of match officials for the upcoming 2025-26 season, comprising a high-calibre mix of international veterans and rising stars. The selection underscores the league’s commitment to world-class refereeing as it prepares for another exciting season of the popular tournament.
Global experience shows the way
The contingent is led by ICC Elite Panel Judges God bless Paleker and Adrian Holdstock. Paleker, the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Umpire of the Year with 161 T20s under his belt, brings a wealth of technical experience to the tournament.
Adding significant weight to the panel is the return Marais Erasmus. Known for his calm demeanor and precision, the former ICC Umpire of the Year brings to the team the experience of 267 international matches.
A diverse and international panel
The full squad consists of 18 referees and six match referees who will oversee the six teams competing at popular grounds such as Boland Park, Centurion, Kingsmead, Newlands, St George’s Park and Wanderers.
The panel includes Ian Blackwell from England as part of the Judges Exchange Program to promote global cooperation. In addition, the league welcomes Abdullah Steenkampcurrent CSA Judges Judge of the Year.
