Ireland’s batting: Curtis Campher and Neil Rock lead the charge
Ireland’s innings got off to a poor start as captain Paul Stirling fell early, managing just 2 runs from 4 balls. Ross Adair put up a brief resistance with 10 off 18 balls, but Ireland’s top-order struggled to build momentum against a disciplined South African bowling attack.
Curtis Campher was the standout performer for Ireland, hitting a crucial knock of 49 off 36 balls, hitting 6 fours and 1 six. He was well supported by Neil Rock who added 37 off 28 deliveries. George Dockrell also bowled a useful 16 to 21 towards the end of the innings.
South African Patrick Kruger was the pick of 4 wickets in an impressive manner with 4 strikes for 27 runs.

Despite losing Hendricks and Matthew Breetzke, who contributed 14 off 19, South Africa never lost control of the chase. Aiden Markram finished the match with an unbeaten 17-12. Leading South Africa to a comfortable victory by more than two wickets.
Craig Young and Mark Adair were the only bowlers to take wickets for Ireland, Young finishing with figures of 1/25 and Adair 1/31. But their efforts were not enough to stop the South African attack.
