Ryan Garcia revealed his plans for his next two fights today, saying he faces Rukiya Anpo in an exhibition bout on December 30th in Japan.
After the three-round exhibition against Anpo, Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) says he wants revenge for Mike Tyson by fighting Jake Paul. In other words, Ryan is fighting an exhibit and then a YouTuber. “Oh, the pain, the pain.”
The lanky 6’0″ Anpo is the same guy who fought a three-round exhibition against 45-year-old Manny Pacquiao earlier this year on July 28 in Saitama, Japan. He looked like he was trying to knock out the Filipino star. He hit on Manny and hit him with everything in a match he clearly dominated, but it was scored a three-round draw.
An exhibition is one way for Ryan Garcia to avoid the one-year ban he received from the New York State Athletic Commission after testing positive for a banned substance following his victory over Devin Haney on April 20 in Brooklyn , New York.
Ryan (26) better be ready for a rough three rounds because Anpo is not the type of guy to take it easy on him. He will fight in front of his fans in Japan and want to make a name for himself worldwide. Getting kicked out by Anpo would be a bad look for Ryan.
If Ryan is serious about fighting cruiserweight Jake Paul, Anpo will prepare him for the kind of power shots he will be hit with. However, due to their massive size differences, I don’t see a fight between Ryan and Jake as possible.
Unless Ryan wants to expand the way Jake did in his preparation for his eight count against 58-year-old Mike Tyson last Friday night, he would be giving up too much weight for the fight to be considered feasible.

I’ve been quiet for quite some time, but I’ve been cooking up some plans before my actual return to the ring
Here is the plan for April
Showdown in Japan in December against the guy who fought aging Manny Pac and tried to knock him out.
And then go after Jake🫡 for uncle…
