Ryan Garcia speaks Devin Haney’s “Skinny” Taunts for Romero Clash: Weight struggles and motivations

Ryan Garcia says he understands why Devin Haney and his father, Bill Haney, took oral shots at him and called him “Skinny” At today’s last press conference for Friday’s Fatal Fury event at Times Square in New York.

Garcia (24-1, 20 costs) says Bill is trying to strengthen his son’s self-faith because he lost it after being beaten in April last year. But he also feels that Bill is trying to get an early start to create interest in the October rematch.

Ryan faces Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero in the head liner this Friday night, while Haney (31-0, 15 COs) is fighting co-function against Jose Ramirez (29-2, 18 COs). The event will be shown Live on dazn PPV, start at 6pm on May 2.
