Once again, superstar boxer Ryan “King Ry” Garcia is looking for a signature victory, and once again he will have the opportunity to pay attention to the elite fighters when he faces former WBA Super-Light World Champion Rolando “Rolly” Romero (16-2, 13 food) on Friday night.

A year ago, Ryan Garcia had his moment, but unfortunately his performance was deleted from the record books. Garcia plans to make a statement in the attractive attraction of the Fatal Fury event of the ring, which will take place in Times Square, New York.

In July 2022, an unbeaten Ryan Garcia was ready for his step-up when he entered the ring to resist the former WBA Super Featherweight (ordinary) champion Javier Fortuna. This attack was supposed to be a test, but Garcia passed the test with flying colors.

With 1:36 left to go in fourth place, Garcia ended up a left hand on the body that forced Fortuna to take a knee. Fortuna could get up, but he went off a second time in the 5th round when Garcia landed the left hook on top.

Garcia would stop Fortuna in the sixth time, when he contacted the temple with a left hook. During the interview after the fight, Garcia felt confident, and he believed he was ready to face the ultimate challenge.

Nine months later, Ryan Garcia would fight his rival Gervonta “Tank” Davis. Garcia arrived in the second round as he pushed forward and continued to land effective blows.

However, Ryan became vain and dropped when Gervonta Davis was handed over with a counter -ear. In the seventh round, Davis Garcia stopped when he landed a hard left to the body.

Garcia would jump back when he achieved an impressive victory in the 8th round over Oscar Duarte. After his victory over Duarte, Garcia immediately jumped back into a big fight.

Ryan Garcia got another chance to achieve a signature win when he faced the then WBC Super-Lightweight World Champion Devin Haney. Garcia started a surprisingly quickly when he ended up a sharp left hook that Haney was roaring in the first round.

Garcia beat in the 7th, 10th and 11th rounds. He won the match by the majority decision when he delivered a lifetime, but his cheering would be short -lived.

Ryan Garcia won the match, but he didn’t win the world title because he came 3.2 pounds over the weight restriction. Not winning the title did not take away from Garcia’s victory, but what took away the victory was when the real victory was taken away.

The Garcia victory was turned into a NO cash because he tested positive for the prohibited substance ostarine. In addition to the results that were overturned, Garcia received a one -year suspension from the New York State Athletic Commission.

Now 26-year-old Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 COs) is ready to return to the ring to fight a well-known enemy. Rolly Romero is a popular name, but a win over Romero should not move the needle drastically. A definite victory over Romero can attract one of the big names in a future battle with Garcia.

Recently, Ryan Garcia interviewed Fightype, and he had some strong words to say about the current Unified World Welterweight Champion. Garcia continued to call out and criticize the ruling unified IBF, WBA champion Jaron “Boots” Ennis.

Ryan Garcia recognizes the fact that Ennis is a talented boxer, but he doesn’t think Boots Ennis is a pound-by-pound fighter. When Garcia was asked about Ennis in the future, Garcia delivered a direct response.

“Yes, 100 percent. Another big fight, another mega event, that’s what I would like to do, so I don’t like anyone away. ‘

When Ryan Garcia Devin Haney defeated, he was on his way to take his boxing career to the next level. After overturning his victory and overturning a one-year suspension, Garcia has to press the reset button.

The 2nd of May chief event between Ryan Garcia and Rolly Romero was upgraded to a battle for the vacant WBA “ordinary” welterweight title. If Garcia can get through Romero, he will be in an excellent position to secure a world title match against Jaron “Boots” Ennis.
