Brooks Run Guide Interviews

Episode 11

With Keith and Kevin Hanson, Hanson Brooks ODP

Kevin and Kate Hanson founded Hansons Distance Project in 1999. In 2003 Brooks came on board as a sponsor and they have been the sponsor of the Hansons Brooks Original Distance Project ever since. Hansons Brooks athletes are everywhere, running cross-country, running and road races, including marathons.

What’s so special about Hansons Brooks ODP? Keith and Kevin Hanson give their athletes time to develop. They select athletes who did well in college but who can develop into long-distance runners and marathoners. Among their athletes were Brian Sell and Des Linden, athletes who needed time to become good racers.

In this interview, RunBlogRun caught up with the Hanson brothers and spoke with Keith and Kevin about high school athlete development, athlete development within their Hansons Brooks ODP, and a variety of discussions.

We thank Brooks Sports Marketing for their support and Kevin and Keith Hanson for their time and honesty.
