Ruben Amorim would have been furious with the way Man United conceded the opening goal in their Europa League clash with Viktoria Plzen.
The Premier League traveled to the Czech Republic in need of a win as the Red Devils sit outside the competition’s automatic qualification places.
Man United did not feature in the first half of the contest with Plzen and early in the second, the English giants fell behind when Andre Onana gifted Matej Vydra with 48 minutes on the clock.
While trying to play from the back, the keeper passed the ball straight to a Plzen player who squared it to Vydra to fire into the empty net.
It was a needless error from the Cameroon striker and will leave Amorim with several questions heading into 2025. Onana made more mistakes during Man United’s 3-2 defeat by Nottingham Forest last weekend, and with that he turned his back. games, not a good look for the 28-year-old.
Andre Onana will not want to see it again?
A gift from United keeper and Reading old man Matej Vydra spills to put Plzen ahead?

Ruben Amorim has the Andre Onana decision to make at Man United
Onana has been at Man United since he did the 55 million euros he switched from Inter last summer and, for the most part, the goalkeeper has done his job at Old Trafford.
The 28-year-old has been good for most of the current campaign – the performance of Onana against Fenerbahce being a good example, but the last two games have been horror shows for the Cameroonian international.
Amorim will be anxious for the striker to return to his early days with United and will have to decide in the coming weeks whether he wants to bring a goalkeeper to Manchester in 2025.
There aren’t many top-tier goalkeepers available at the moment, although the The Red Devils have been linked with Mike Maignan this week, and that will likely see the Portuguese manager stick with his current number one for the 2025/26 campaign.
Amorim will no doubt help Onana improve the build up from the back during his time at Old Trafford and the results will be seen in time.
