Manchester United’s lead coach Ruben Amorim has defended Patrick Dorgu after his dangerous red card Wednesday 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town.
It was a first half for Dorgu, who was guilty of giving Ipswich his opening goal only four minutes from the contest as a combination with goalkeeper Andre Onana gave Jaden Philogene an open goal to touch his side.
Amorim argued that it was Dorgu’s desire to stir his mistake that was trapped by Omanari Hutchinson with a great challenge in the middle of the time.
“Everyone when they see this ball thought,” here we go again, “said Amorim about the Opening target. “But sometimes football is like that and we managed to fight all situations during the game and think that we really deserve the three points.
“The first situation was a misunderstanding, the way they connect (AMB). Then the shipment, the important thing is that I really know Dorgu well. It does not want to hurt anyone and this is important to me.
“Then you have this situation. He had this mistake and then he feels in the game that he was making many clues, trying to win each ball, being aggressive and sometimes exceeding it and has these problems today.”
Dorgu International Manager Brian Riemer worked as a pull for the game and offered his sympathy for the first goal.
“I feel for the boy,” said Denmark’s head. “Everyone knows that it is not good to be in a situation like this.
“But from the side of the table coach, it is worse if the tactical decisions and individual skills are not good enough.
“From a coaching perspective, I can reassure him by saying that he is a real misunderstanding. It is a communication error at some level and, of course, it should not happen, but I think that all defenders have experienced it.”
