Former Manchester United captain and football pundit Roy Keane has slammed Marcus Rashford for his performance against Arsenal.
The Red Devils lost 2-0 against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
It was Arsenal’s fourth straight Premier League win against Man United, showing once again how one-sided this game has become when it was once one of the most competitive games in English football.
Goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba gave Arsenal victory against Ruben Amorim’s side.
Several players disappointed the Red Devils and one of them was Rashford who struggled to get going after coming off the bench in the second half.
He failed to get involved in the attacks and conceded the corner that led to Arsenal’s second goal of the game.
Keane was brutal in his assessment of the Man United striker, calling his overall game “shocking”.
talking The overlapsaid the Man United legend:
“I’ll tell you one thing, Marcus Rashford came in there. His overall game as a footballer is shocking.
“Look at their header there. Have the United subs given anything since they came in? Nothing. The subs have done nothing. Manchester United don’t deserve anything anyway. They were rubbish. You know what about United? They deceive you, they deceive you. They are not dynamic.”
Man United star Marcus Rashford can go to the next level with Ruben Amorim
Amorim’s arrival at Man United has seen Rashford’s form at the club improve.
The striker has already scored four goals in the Premier League this season, which is just three fewer than he scored last season.
It was a surprising decision by Amorim to bench Rashford, considering how he has played recently.
Coming off the bench, he failed to make an impact on the game and in fact made it difficult for his team with the corner he conceded that eventually led to a Gunners goal.
Rashford has shown signs of improvement with Amorim this season and his performance at the Emirates Stadium may not have been impressive, he could still have a decent season ahead.
Amorim tea named Man United defender Noussair Mazraoui as the “future” of the club.
