Of all the lucky defenders who have provided tickets to masters and Augusta National, almost everyone has left the bases with bags (yes, plural) of goods purchased by Golf of the most famous sports tournament.
Count Rory Mcilroy, the newest sample of masters, among them.
Tuesday ChampionshipMcilroy was asked how many masters’ flags he has been signed since his victory.
“Many,” he said, smiling.
This can be an underestimation.
“I have no idea (how much I have signed). It’s been a lot,” he continued. “But I know they had 1,100 additional, like 1100 left in the goods facility at the end of the week, and we got all 1,100.”
A thousand-one hundred!
Although Mcilroy later explained that he did not buy those who simply hanged in his garage. He kidnapped them – everyone has over the year of Mcilroy’s victory, 2025, to sign and eventually to donate to fans and children.
Mcilroy, of course, also has to sign these flags in the right place. Augusta National is not short in the rules, and one of those protocols includes where players sign master flags. Only the sample can sign inside the US sketch on the masters logo.
“It’s been a lot, but I will never get sick to sign them,” Mcilroy said. “I’ve been waiting 17 years to sign that flag in the middle, and I’ll never complain about doing it.”
And since you were wondering, in 2025, masters flags cost $ 30 each. If Mcilroy bought 1,100 of them, this is a large total of $ 33,000. Although he has earned more than $ 100 million in PGA Tour only in his career, so fortunately he can roll the bill.
Mcilroy is paired with Scottie Scheffler for the first round of the Tour championship. They will leave at 2pm on Thursday at Golf Club in East Lake. You can capture the first round action from 1-6 afternoon at Golf Channel.
