Price money is growing in Roland-Garros, but regulated figures may not be enough to set up players.
In general, the price package has increased by 5.21% from 2024 to a total of € 56,352,000, but players are looking for a much higher percentage of revenue sharing than just continue with inflation. The players recently scored a letter for each of the four Grand Slams counting their complaints, and a meeting apparently is in the works in a moment now and Roland-Garros, which begins the main action of the equalizer on May 25.
“The various organizational committees of the four Grand Slams received a letter and we responded by saying that we were very open to discussing issues with them,” said Gilles Maretton, president of the French Tennis Federation, Thursday, according to London Times.
Nothing official seems to be on the calendar. Meanwhile, here are the updated price figures against those of 2024.
Precious moneyThis year, the tournament will offer a total set of price of € 56,352 million, an increase of 5.21% compared to the last year (the correct pending figure, but approximately +2.87 million).
