Veteran Indian batsman Rohit Sharma spoke about the altercation between Jasprit Bumrah and Sam Constas on Day 1 of the fifth and final Test. Rohit Sharma made it clear that the Indian team remains calm and composed, but they won’t shut up if someone pokes them with an unnecessary joke.

Sam Constas was the center of attention on Day 1 of the final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The 19-year-old, who was already involved in a heated exchange with Virat Kohli, was involved in an altercation with Jasprit Bumrah during the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.

In the final over of the day, with Usman Khawaja at the crease, the Australian opener deliberately delayed Bumrah to ensure it was the last run of the day. This frustrated Bumrah, who was visibly upset. Constas verbally sparred with Bumrah, leading to a brief altercation.

Bumrah, who came under fire due to the dispute, removed Khawaja, who caught the next ball behind. He celebrated the wicket with gusto, charging towards Constas and being joined by his teammates, including Virat Kohli. Konstas scored 23 off 38 balls before being dismissed by Mohammad Siraj on Day 2.
