Former captain of the Australian National Cricket Team Michael Clarke Ahead of the fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, Rohit Sharma-led Indian National Cricket Team has been given a massive warning.
Michael Clarke has predicted that modern batsman Steve Smith will smash a double century in the Melbourne Cricket Ground Test match against the Rohit Sharma-led side.

Speaking on the Beyond23 Cricket Podcast, Clarke predicted that Smith would score big and finish as the leading run-getter for Australia in their fourth Test match.
“I think Steve Smith will get two hundreds. I’ll go to Steve Smith for Australia’s leading run-scorer in a Test match,” he said.
Smith has not been at his best in Test cricket for some time. It started series Poor against India, he recorded scores of 0 and 17 in the Perth Test.
Steve Smith also failed in the Adelaide Test as he scored just 2 runs in the only innings he batted. However, he came back strongly in the Brisbane Test, smashing a brilliant century in the first innings.
In all, the star batsman scored 124 runs at an average of 24.80 in 5 innings in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 season.

Clarke also believes India captain Rohit Sharma will score a century in the fourth Test against the Aussies as the conditions in Melbourne will suit his batting style.
“I’m going (with) skipper Rohit Sharma, a big hundred. I think he likes the MCG. I think it will suit his game. I think he’ll hang around there and play his innings. I’m going with the captain. India to India will lead the way,” Clark said
Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been struggling in Test cricket for a long time now and his performances are a major concern for the Indian team.
Batting in his new position at No.6 after sacrificing the opening spot for KL Rahul, Rohit scored 3, 6 and 10, scoring 19 runs at an average of 6.33.

Clarke also gave his prediction on the performance of the bowlers and said pace is ahead jasprit bumrah Will be the top wicket taker for India and Nathan Lyon will pick the most wickets for Australia.
“Bumrah, India’s leading wicket-taker. He has simply been a standout bowler in both teams. He just stood out and looks very dangerous. He seems to be able to take wickets with every ball. So I am going to go with Bumrah as the leading wicket-taker for India. I’ll say it’s Nathan Lyon’s turn for Australia,” Clarke said.
Notably, Bumrah is the leading wicket-taker in BGT 2024-25 with 21 scalps in his bag, while superstar spinner Nathan Lyon has picked only 3 wickets.
