Former Indian National Cricket Team head coach Ravi Shastri said that the Australian National Cricket Team is explosive. Head of Travis has been the biggest headache for Rohit Sharma-Led in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
After his devastating performances against India, Ravi Shastri hilariously gave the Aussie batsman a new nickname, calling him ‘Travis Headache’.

The 30-year-old Travis Head, the chief architect of Australia’s thrashing of India in the finals of the ICC World Test Championship and ICC Cricket World Cup, has troubled the Thin Men in Blue once again.
It started series 11 points, but since then he has looked unstoppable. He scored 89 runs in the second innings of the Perth Test and then followed it up with a stunning 140-run knock in the Adelaide Test.
Then in the Gabba Test, Travis Head smashed 152 runs in the first innings and decimated the Indian bowling attack. He is currently the leading run-getter in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 with 405 runs at an average of 81.80 runs in his bag.
I think he is very intelligent – Ravi Shastri
Speaking to the ICC Review, Ravi Shastri spoke about the chief’s speeches and said:
“Because his new last name is Travis Head’ache. They are looking for balsam in India. They are looking for a balm for foot problems, ankle problems (and) even headaches. He is ideal for this.”
Bash has struggled a lot against short balls over the years, but has made huge improvements in how he deals with this type of delivery in recent times. Shastri noted this and praised him for greatly improving his style of bowling with the short ball. He said:
“I think he’s very smart. From what I saw of him three years ago, he has improved a lot. Especially with the short ball. He was about to leave her. He has learned to leave her sometimes.”
“A short delivery at an angle to his underarm or something is not always a big hit. He is ready to either ride or go for the big shots. If it’s middle, middle, and edge, it also hits the front of the square.
“He chooses the length very well. This is one of its great strengths. And he has a flashing blade for offside. So he’s a tough guy to keep. And he’s in the shape of his life.”
We all knew he was dangerous but he bowled Jasprit Bumrah in the first innings…. – Ravi Shastri
Ravi Shastri on how Travis Head played jasprit bumrah shows that he is in the shape of his life. So far, Head has scored 91 off 83 runs against Jasprit Bumrah, one of the greatest pacers of all time, who has been a nightmare for other Australian batsmen. He said:
“We all knew he was dangerous, but he hit Jasprit Bumrah, that cover driver, on the front leg in the first innings. It was a little over the top in a lot of ways, good delivery, decent delivery. He told me that this is a player in great form.
“He continued to show just that. There is nothing wrong with him, his way of thinking is very clear. No cloudy thinking. He is very clear about the situation. This is my strength.
“I will play in this form. Yes, I will follow the state of the game. I can go from fourth gear to third gear. But as soon as I see it, I will always be in the third and fourth ranks.”
