“Regardless of age, I know I’m very young, I’m only 23, but I end up being the most experienced of the group,” he said.

“You see Estevao at 17, (Luiz) Henrique at 18. So they’re very young guys, so even though I’m young I can pass on some of that experience to them.

“And there are also older players who pass on some of that experience to me. So I think ultimately it’s what the teacher said, about sharing responsibilities. Everyone knows their role, everyone has to take responsibility. And so, I think when we really get it, everyone is doing well, everyone is taking responsibility, we will achieve great things.”

Estevao is naturally a winger, but his agent has confirmed that Chelsea plan to use him as an attacking midfielder when it arrives at Stamford Bridge in time for the 2025/26 season.
