The Sneyd Christmas Pudding 10 and the Keyworth Turkey Trot Half Marathon were among the few races that took place due to weather warnings.
SNEYD CHRISTMAS PUDDING 10 December 8
Sneyd Striders managed to hold their event in Walsall on Sunday when club volunteers got up at 6.30am to clear two fallen trees, including a 75lb pine tree, which were blocking the route of the 600-strong field.
The club said: “The race ran on schedule in breezy but dry conditions, which was a welcome relief from last year’s heavy rain.”
