Lamont Roach announced its fight today at X against the WBC-TUS-Lights Welterweight Champion Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz for December 6 at PBC on Prime Video-pay-per-view in San Antonio, Texas.
Roach’s Skit is going viral
Roach (25-1-2, 10 food) has a theater kit of himself in a restaurant, sit by friends, and order a gourmet meal from a menu with the following names on it:
- GERVONTA Davis – “Gourmet Duck”
- Shakur Stevenson – “Silver Platter”
- Isaac Cruz – “Dog Catcher Special”
- Gary Russell jr. – “Old Man Special”
Of course, Roach ‘Pitbull’ Cruz (28-3-1, 18 CO’s) chose, which he had in the main event in the main event in a leading boxing champion card on December 6. Roach, 30, will leave his WBA Super Featherweight title for the second consecutive battle to move two weight classes to challenge Cruz for his interim WBC 140-pound band.
The Dog Catcher’s Choice
“I’m going to go here with the special of the dog catcher. On December 6, I live in San Antonio, Texas, I will fight against Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz against the Pay-per-View for the WBC Interim Lights (Welterweight) champion of the world, ‘says Lamont Roach on Xand his fight against Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz announced for December.

Matias or Smith next?
Lamont did not say whether he would remain in the light welterweight to challenge the winner of the WBC champion’s fight Subriel Matias and Dalton Smith on January 10, 2026 in New York. It would be a difficult battle for Roach against one of the fighters, as they both could hit.
In Matias’s case, he also never stops attacking, and he would not give Roach a moment of rest, as his last opponent, Gervonta Davis, performed in their 12-round draw on March 1, 2025.
The bite behind the bark
Former WBA Light Welterweight Champion ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, 27, recently won the vacant WBC-entitlement title of 140 pounds on July 19, 2025 and defeated Omar Salcido with a unanimous decision of 10 round. In Cruz’s previous fight, he beat Angel Fierro with a unanimous 10 -round decision earlier this year on February 1.
In Cruz’s best career victory, he deprived WBA champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, and knocked him out in the eighth round on March 30, 2024.
