Ryan Garcia posted a trolling photo on X of himself holding a child that looks like Devin Haney. Garcia said his “son” asked Santa to teach him to “hold his right hand up.” The picture looks AI-generated, but the resemblance to Haney is too close.
Haney and Garcia have been fighting since last April. Devin is still bitter about his loss, while Ryan is not happy about the way the New York State Athletic Commission took away his win after he tested positive for a banned substance.
The feud burns
It’s Ryan’s way of taunting Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), who failed to keep his right hand up to block his powerful left hook, which he used to drop him three times in their fight April 20 to drop.
Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) couldn’t miss with his left hook and left Devin reeling, unable to block that weapon. Devin lost the fight by a 12-round majority decision and has not been seen in the ring since. That loss took the air out of Haney’s career, and it remains to be seen if he can ever come back.
Bill Haney has been raging nonstop since Devin’s loss to Garcia, and he’s kept the bitter trash talk going all along. Devin was mostly in the background, working out and keeping a low profile as usual.
He’s seemingly moved on and is preparing for what comes next when he returns to the ring in 2025. If it’s Garcia, he’ll be ready, but it might not be. Bill could be useful if he makes peace with Ryan, drops his lawsuit and focuses on the big stuff and sets up a rematch for Devin.
Enjoy the holidays with my son

I understand this is some of you’s hero, but if you believe he has done well through the sport, go ahead and believe in Santa Claus.
Sit by the chimney and wait because he doesn’t come either.
