Rickie Fowler is universally known as one of the greatest Golf gentlemen, but even beautiful boys kidnap once once in a while.
Such was the case on Saturday during Third round of 2025 Classic Cognizant on the palm beaches in PGA National. Fowler uploaded the leader of the manager and faced an 18-party Birdie in Par-4 16. Almost every player who faced that stroke lost it to the right, and Fowler did the same with his blow grazing the edge of the cup before he wanders.
As Fowler walked behind his ball, he turned to the ancestors and bark a fan who was throwing it for Putt.
“Of course you know,” Fowler shouted.
“That’s why you’re in the stand,” he added a few seconds later.
Fowler ended the third round of three strokes after the leader of 54 holes Jake Knapp, who shot a 59 first round on Thursday.
It is an important week for 36-year-old Fowler.
He was not given the exclusion of a sponsor at Arnold Palmer Invitational of next week presented by MasterCard at Bay Hill Club and Lodge. This decision not to give Fowler an invitation meant his only way in an event that is close to his heart is to win this week at PGA National.
“Well, at the end of the day, play better,” Fowler said to leave the API invitations list on Friday. “It would be much easier to play well last year and win my way to these events. They have been very lucky and very grateful for Steve John in Pebble and AT&T to get a place there and Tiger and Genesis to get it in Torrey. But it’s hard to try to get everyone.
“What is what it is. As I said, at the end of the day, play well, and that will take care of it. Of course I’m annoying that I will not be there next week. It is a special event, and of course, I have had a very special relationship with Mr. Palmer. But we will see. We will see if we can get a trophy this week, and that would take care of that. “
Fowler won the event, which was then called Honda Classic, again in 2017. He will try to rediscover him on the magic Sunday as he tries to track the KNAPP and win his way to Bay Hill.
