Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson received special invitations to the PGA 2025 Championship

Field 2025 PGA Championship At the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC, is almost located.
The US PGA announced the field on Tuesday, and some prominent names received special invitations as they did not meet the qualification criteria.
Livi’s new players Tom McKibbin and David Puig were given invitations. As members of Liv Golf, Puig and McKibbin have limited opportunities to earn official world golf rankings and therefore do not listed within 100 cannons, which is the standard qualification interruption. Joaquin Niemann received an early special invitation to the PGA Championship; The Chilean also received a special invitation to 2025 masters.

There was another apparent Liv name in Tuesday’s announcement as Dustin Johnson, whose exclusion of his 2020 masters expired this year, was given a place in the field. Johnson ranks 751 in OWGR and has only two Top-10 conclusions in diplomas since he joined LIV in 2022 (2022 Open and 2023 US Open).
Also receiving an invitation was Rickie Fowler.
Fowler was a member of the 2023 Ryder Cup team. All players who were members of the US and European Ryder Cup teams receive invitations as long as they remain in the first 100 in the world. Fowler, who has only one Top-20th finish in nine PGA Tour begins this year, is immersed in 125 in Owgr and has taken a place in front of 13 players listed in front of him. Fowler was invited to the PGA 2022 championship when it was ranked 146th in the world. He has not lost a PGA championship since 2010.
Fowler won his first PGA Tour’s career victory at the Wells Fargo 2012 championship in Quail Hollow.

Two points will be given this week to the winners of the Truist and Myrtle Beach Classic championship if those players are not already excluded. There will be 14 champions passed on the field; Tiger Woods And John Dary are not among them. Woods is recovering from surgery to repair a tent of achilles torn.
