The final press conference of Canelo vs. Crawford must have been about two pounds for-pound legends. Instead, Dana White turned it into an Open-Mic Evening for Meltings, and Sean Zittel of the Bumpy ground the folk champion ended.
Zittel has cooled the opening bomb, cool as you please:

Dana White Wobbles, Zittel keeps on swinging
Zittel printed over the California State Athletics Commission. Dana became salt:
“Listen, I understand it, you want a showboat now. Set up an interview with me if that’s really what you want to talk about. ‘
Zittel clapped back without blinking:
“This is America, baby. First amendment. ‘
This is the kind of rule you write on a T-shirt. Dana then completely lost the plot, crackled:
“Listen, if you want to be an asshole, let’s do it private and we can interview.”
And that’s when Canelo decided to pipe. From his seat he starts screaming:
“Fight, fight, fight.”
It was also not polite ribbing. He sounded like a lairy boy outside Wetherspoons and dressed on a scrap between two blocks that had six too many lagers. Pound-by-pound King reduces to the muscle in the parking lot that sings for blood. You couldn’t write it. Crawford sat there as if he were just realizing that this whole press is under him.

Turki’s brilliance and Zittelmania
The most uncomfortable bit? Turki Alalshikh, sit up there and rage – but not with Dana. Turki looks at Zittel as if he was hampering his pint. Only in boxing is the truth narrator treated like the villain.
It ended with this gem:
Zittel: ‘Sounds good. Well, Terence and Saúl, are having a good fight. “
White: “You have a question for these two? No, beat it. ‘
This is the closer for the biggest press of the year – Dana White told a reporter to sleep his hook.
Will Zittel be allowed even now?
The big question: Does Sean even get through the door at the weigh -in? Will Turki and Dana Blacklist run him from Fight Night and leave him outside with his camera like an exile?
Because online, Zittelmania is being riotous. Fans already say he landed cleaner on Saturday than anyone will do.
From Dana’s side it was a configuration. It was not the forum to unpack lawsuits or legislation. He came to promote a mega fight and not defend the balance sheets of the UFC. In his eyes, Zittel does not play fairly – he hijacked the fighters’ spotlight.
In short: Dana White promoted his own thin skin last night. Turki looks at the wrong man. And Sean Zittel? He walked away the champion of the people and asked the questions that others would not do and refused to be intimidated.
