Liverpool superstar Trent Alexander-Arnold has agreed a move to Real Madrid this summer, according to a report from Spain.
Starting January, Alexander-Arnold, along with his teammates Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, can negotiate deals with clubs abroad. FourFourTwo reports that the trio has recently held talks with Liverpool to remain at Anfield.
After Dani Carvajal’s ACL injury earlier this season, the European champions considered accelerating their plans to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold midseason, according to Catalan paper Sport. However, El Chiringuito journalist Josep Pedrerol reports that the transfer won’t proceed this month unless both clubs agree on a price below €35 million.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold has finalized an agreement to join Real Madrid in June. There are minor details to be resolved, but if everything goes smoothly, Alexander-Arnold will play for Real Madrid next season”. Pedrelol said.
Liverpool has reportedly started negotiations to sign Joshua Kimmich, who is being considered as a top-tier successor to Alexander-Arnold.
