Indian Women’s National Cricket Team players Richa Ghosh and Renuka Singh were openly harassed during the ongoing game against New Zealand Women’s National Cricket Team. The 4th match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is being played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
India The Women’s National Cricket Team was asked to field first and they did not start well with the ball. New Zealand openers Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer batted positively and hit the bowlers all over the park.
The pressure was felt on the Indian players and it showed in their performance on the field. Fast bowler Arundhati Reddy was bowled last in the powerplay by two blunders.
In the second ball, Renuka Singh came up with a poor batting effort that cost her team four runs. Arundhati Reddy came out right in the middle and Georgia Plimmer ran down the track and tried to bring her down.
The New Zealand keeper failed to make proper contact as the ball went from the inner half of the bat to square leg. The bottom hand even came off the hook and it looked like it was going to be just a single. However, Renuka Singh took it straight through his hands as he attacked at deep square leg and the ball went for a boundary.
Renuka Singh blunders in the field and Richa Ghosh drops an easy catch to give Suzie Bates a lifeline.
