Regis Prograis demands ‘Big Money’ for Joseph Diaz Rematch: Will Turki Alalshikh or Oscar de la Hoya pay?

Regis Prograis rejected the idea of giving Joseph ‘Jojo’ Diaz a rematch unless it’s “big money” from Turki Alalshikh or the promoter Oscar de la Hoya.

Prograis Eyes 140 Pound Title

Regis (30-3, 24 costs) says his immediate goal is to fight for one of the world titles at Light Welterweight to become a three-time champion in the 140-pound division.

Regis does not say how much he would expect to be paid for a re -broadcast with Diaz, but it probably won’t happen if it’s in the million dollars. He came into battle after losing his two previous battles, and he was supposed to quell in the competition through the faded Diaz, who lost six or eight. The struggle showed that the 36-year resistance to the punch of the preach is away, and that he is no longer a serious contender for a world championship.

Last Saturday night, Prograis won a dubious unanimous decision of 10 round over former IBF Super Featherweight Champion ‘Jojo’ Diaz (34-8-1, 15 food) at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Prograis were often injured in battle, although he claims to have been struggling only once in the first round. In fact, he was regularly from rounds 1 to 9.

The scores

“Listen, my thing is that I want to be a world champion again. So, if ‘Jojo and I’ somehow get a chance to fight for a belt or big money, we’ll do it, ‘Regis Prograis said Chris Mannix about the idea of fighting a re -broadcast against Joseph Diaz.

Is the Prograis Championship Material?

There are no champions at 140 that Prograis would have any chance of beating. This is the problem. He will be too much through all four current belt containers, and the fights would not be entertaining. Devin Haney and Jack Catterall struck last Saturday’s battle in the fight of Devin Haney and Jack Catterall.

Current champions of 140 pounds

  • Gary Antuanne Russell: WBA
  • Richardson Hitchins: IBF
  • Theofimo Lopez: WBO
  • SUBRIEL MATIAS: WBC

Diaz Rematch: “Big Money” speaks

“I know ‘Jojo’ will do it. Big money? Where is Turki at? Where is Oscar (De La Hoya) at? If Oscar wants to set up a little big money, or Turki wants to raise big money for me and want to do ‘Jojo’ to do it again, I’m pretty sure we’ll do it again. If not, then let’s do a belt, “Prograis said.

If Turki or De La Hoya can get Prograis to vote to a special prize from Walmart, it may be worth putting a rematch with Diaz. Unlike that, he makes his almost hopeless goal to become a world champion again at 140. I don’t see that Regis has a chance to beat any of the world champions in the division or even the top 5 contenders.
