The Cincinnati Reds missed the postseason for the fourth straight time in 2024 as they finished with a record of 77 wins and 85 losses.
After missing the 2024 postseason, the Reds have now made the playoffs just once in the past 11 seasons.
The Redskins will explore their options in free agency this offseason as they prepare for the 2025 season and try to win the National League Central for the first time since 2012.
A Reds player will return to the club in 2025 as they agreed a deal on Monday.
According to FOX Sports. MLB X pitcher Nick Martinez has accepted a one-year, $21.05 million qualifying offer from the Reds for the 2024 season.

Martinez entered the league in 2014 with the Texas Rangers and played his first season with the Redskins in 2024.
He appeared in 42 games for the club and had 10 wins and seven losses with a 3.10 ERA and 116 strikeouts in 142.1 innings.
In MLB, the qualifying offer is calculated by the average salary of the league’s 125 highest-paid players, which in this case was $21.05 million.
A club can tender a player before the start of free agency if he has never previously received a qualifying offer and has spent the entire season on that team’s roster.
Martinez had a solid year for the Reds in 2024 and should have a positive impact on the starting rotation next season.
The Redskins will continue to try and build the best roster they can for 2025 as they try to get the organization back on a winning track.
