Manchester City midfielder, Rodri transfer Interest when returning from long -term injuries, according to a report in Spain.
Rodri has been neglected since September after an ACL tear, which came cruelly shortly after the star man had pronounced against the excessive physical demands of the players. But the Golden Ballon Holder is trying to return on time for the reformated FIFA Club Club.
In Spain, SER chain affirms it Real Madrid Officials have identified Rodri as the ideal replacement for Toni Kroos, who retired last summer to the back of winning the Champions League and playing in the Euro 2024 in their second farewell in Germany.
But reigning European champions, though not for a long time, can be unsuccessful as Sports image State Rodri is perfectly happy in Manchester and does not seek to leave.
These new statements backed up what Rodri himself said at the beginning of the season.
“When I sign the contracts I do not think of other teams, I just think of finishing. So yes, I have a contract with City and there is nothing else I can say,” explained the player.
Rodri, who is 29 years old in June, will come in short the last two years of his City contract. There was a hope of City who would sign a new agreement before its injury, at a time when Real Madrid interest in provoking it was already beginning to appear.
Rodri comes from Madrid and, therefore, a transfer to the Bernabeu would represent something home, although his professional fidelity has so far been with athletic. He spent six years at the Academy there, before moving to Villarreal and returned to Atletico for a season in 2018.
City paid almost £ 63 million for Rodri in the summer of 2019 and has obtained the benefits of this investment, based on a historic four -successive career of the Premier League titles between 2020 and 2024.
