Raymond Muratalla hopes to get a fight against Vasily Lomachenko in the Pechanga Arena in San Diego next Saturday, May 10, if he gets the victory in his fight against Zaur Abdullaev for the IBF -Tussentage lightweight belt. Muratalla (22-0, 17 CO’s) is the mandatory 135 pound IBF champion Lomachenko if he wins on Saturday. So, if Loma returns from his injury, he can face Muratalla. Muratalla will be increased to the full IBF champion if he decides not to return.

Muratalla vs Abdullaev is the co-function on Saturday’s map, with the head of the WBO Super Featherweight Champion Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarre (39-2-1, 32 food) defends against #1 Charly suarez (18-0, 10 costs). The event will be shown Live on ESPN and ESPN+ at 22:00 ET/19:00 pm pt.
For some reason, the fight did not get much traction. Fans are not familiar with Suarez and Navarrete, who were recently beaten by Denys Berinchyk last year.
Dream Fight: Loma
“It’s a big fight. Any of the champions,” Raymond Muratalla said Ring magazine When asked if he would be interested in fighting WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis. “I think it would be a big struggle, and a great struggle for us and the fans.”
Muratalla’s interest in fighting Keyshawn for his WBO belt was not nearly as high as fighting Lomachenko for the IBF belt. It can mean one of two things. Either Muratalla does not have confidence in his ability to beat Keyshawn, or he sees the fight against Lomachenko as a more important one who will pay better and help his career more. Of course, he believes he can beat the 37-year-old. Why would otherwise be interested in fighting against Lomachenko?
“I was focused on Saturday, and hopefully I can win on Saturday and Lomachenko next,” says Muratalla. “That’s what I’m really looking forward to. With a win Saturday, my compulsory Lomachenko. I’m going to push afterwards, and if not, I’m ready for any of the champions. I’m ready for one of them. We’ll see, ‘said Muratalla.
