Virat Kohli’s reaction said it all as Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Mominul Haque with a stunning delivery in the ongoing first India vs Bangladesh Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
After Bangladesh lost both the wickets in quick succession, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul tried to steady the ship. They joined hands in the middle after Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Shadman Islam to reduce Bangladesh to 86 for 2.
The duo pushed Bangladesh past the 120-run mark. However, before he could hit his team into a strong position, the Indian spin spearhead came up with a brilliant performance to add another wicket to his tally.
In the last ball of the 30th over, Ravichandran Ashwin cleaned up Mominul to break the 38-run partnership. It was a pitched delivery from the local boy around the off stump and Mominul went to the front foot defence.
However, Mominul was bowled in the last minute by spinning the ball to the edge, before it hit the outside of the off stump. As soon as the ball hit the stumps, Virat Kohli’s facial expression clearly showed that he was very impressed.

Mominul left after 13 runs with the help of three fours off 24 balls.
