The UPS driver and the US Hopeful Nick Barrett were disqualified by the qualification for a result error.

Many heart strokes stressed Last day of US Open Qualification on Monday. But you can argue that the competitor that wakes the most is an UPS driver from Maryland. His open Dreams in the US broke when he made a rare and painful mistake of the result.
Qualifier Nick Barrett was disqualified when he forgot to submit to his score card after the first round of his qualification, who He described it in Baltimore Sun’s Edward Lee as “a total punch of the intestine”.

Barrett, a 31-year-old from Catonsville, MD., Played his latest qualification in North Course of Woodmont Country Club In Rockville, MD. It was one of the 10 different events of the final qualification on Monday, all of which presented 36 holes.
In Woodmont’s qualification, Barrett was one of the 84 players’ players fighting to search four points in the next week 2025 US Open in Oakmont.
Barrett still had a chance after his first round, shooting a two-two 73 over his first 18 holes. However, this result would never become official.

After his round, Barrett went to eat a quick lunch when he experienced a shock. In his pocket was his score card from the first round. He was meant to have signed it and handed it to the scorer’s tent shortly after his round.
“I stood up after having a hot dog or something at lunch, and I felt my back pocket and felt the score card there,” Barrett told Sunshine“And as soon as I did this, my heart went straight to the end of my stomach.”
Barrett then went to the scorer’s tent, but it was too late. In the 20 minutes they had passed, his partners playing had already signed their score cards and the other group had passed.
The USA officials present had no choice but to disqualify Barrett, officially ending his hopes of playing at US Open.
He said sun That it was “just a real shame that I couldn’t go back there”, and though he could not blame anyone, but he himself was “a total punch of the intestine”.

While Barrett was a long tale in the US Open Qualification, some large PGA Tour stars also experienced heartburn.
In the qualification played in Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club in Ohio, Max Homa AND Rickie Fowler Both lost a play off with five men to lose in the final of six US Open Up Spotes for Grabs.
