Rajasthan Royals have finalized their retention list for IPL Auction 2025 and submitted the list of retained players to BCCI. All franchises had a deadline of Thursday, October 31 to submit the final list of retained players for the IPL Auction 2025.
BCCI has allowed each franchise to retain 6 players in its squad before IPL 2025. Of these, there can be 5 or less players and 2 or less non-members. Thus, franchises can choose a combination of 5+1 or 4+2 retained players in their squads.
Each franchise is allocated Rs. 120 crore salary purse and they can avail Rs. 75 crore for its retained members. They can use 18-14-11 crore for the first three retentions. They can proceed with Rs. 18 crore and Rs. 14 crore if they want to retain six members. The non-wicket players have been priced at Rs. 4 million.

Rajasthan Royals were promoted to Qualifier 2 last season
Rajasthan Royals is a team that has improved a lot since the last mega auction. Rajasthan Royals made it to the playoffs last season but lost to Sunriser’s Hyderabad in their Qualifier 2 match. It should be noted that the team led by Sanju Samson lost the final in the 2022 season.
Rajasthan Royals have won 8 matches and lost 5 out of 14 matches in the league stage. He ranked 3rd in the points table with 17 points. They defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator but lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 and failed to reach the final.

Rajasthan Royals showed incredible teamwork last season
Riyan Parag was the top scorer of the team last season with 573 runs. Sanju Samson followed him with 531 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal was another impressive batsman with 435 runs.
Among the bowlers, Avesh Khan He took the most wickets for the side with 19 in 16 games. Yuzvendra Chahal has collected 18 scalps in 15 matches, while Trent Boult has scored 16 wickets. So RR players showed a lot of teamwork both in batting and bowling till they went to Qualifier 2 last season.
Now, with RR having many brilliant members in their squad last season, the franchise will face a huge challenge to build an equally dominant team. Note that many RR members are also part of the national team teams and other franchises will target them during the IPL Auction 2025.
