Emma Raducanu is renewing its search for a coach.

Nick Cavaday has resigned as coach of Raducanu to spend time at home and fully regain his health.

Cavaday, Raducanu’s former youth coach, who has known him since he was 10, announced his decision in a statement.

“At this point in time, it’s important for me to spend a little more time at home and prioritize getting back to full health, which is difficult to do with the busy schedule,” Cavaday said. in a statement. “I’m glad Emma’s back. to settle in for the tour now.”

Reuniting with Cavaday after undergoing ankle surgery and surgery on both wrists in the spring of 2023, the 22-year-old Briton delivered a comeback season last year.

2021 US Open champion Raducanu reached the round of 16 and Wimbledon quarterfinals in Washington, DC and Seoul in her final four tournaments of the 2024 season to finish last season ranked 58th.

“I would like to thank Nick for a great partnership over the last year and a bit, especially after the surgeries,” said Raducanu. “I wish him all the best in his next chapter and no doubt we will stay in touch.”

The 150th-ranked Briton made history as the first player – man or woman – to play through qualifying and win a Grand Slam singles title at the 2021 US Open.

That phenomenal Flushing Meadows triumph accelerated Raducanu’s learning curve and, she said, exposed her to the “sharks” within the sport.

Currently ranked No. 61, Raducanu advanced to the third round of the Australian Open last week.

A resurgent Swiatek went on an 11-match run by thrashing Raducanu 6-1, 6-0 to reach the fourth round of the Australian Open for the fifth time.

Now, Raducanu will be looking for the seventh coach in her professional career after working with Cavaday, Nigel Sears, Andrew Richardson, Torben Beltz, Iain Bates and Sebastian Sachz.
