Rachin Ravindra fears Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja ahead of India Tests

24 years old New Zealand National Cricket Team sensation Rachin Ravindra has admitted that a battle with legendary Indian National Cricket Team duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja is a daunting prospect for the BlackCaps.

Rachin Ravindra said that Ashwin and Jadeja are very skilled bowlers and pose a big threat to the opposition with their excellent batting.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja scored a great record against New Zealand in Tests

Veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and star left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have done really well against the Kiwis over the years.

In 9 Test matches against the BlackCaps, Ashwin scored 66 at an average of 15.43. With the bat, Ashwin scored 243 runs at an average of 22.09.

Jadeja, on the other hand, played 8 Tests against the Kiwis and picked up 25 wickets at an average of 31.28. The all-rounder was also very effective with the bat as he scored 317 runs at an average of 35.22.

They are two very skilled bowlers – Rachin Ravindra and Ravichandran Ashwin over Ravindra Jadeja

Speaking at the press conference, Rachin Ravindra stated that facing India will be a big challenge for New Zealand, especially with Jadeja and Ashwin in the opposition.

“I think of course there are certain conditions, things, I think the white ball, the wicket is a little bit different. They are consistent and good to bat in, especially in this part of the world. We see more than 200. T20 and 300 in one-day cricket consistently. than, but I think Test cricket is a different animal,” said Rachin Ravindra.

“Obviously we know how good India are in their conditions, the quality of their bowlers, the quality of their batting. They’ve grown up in these conditions and that shows how difficult it is for a team to come and win here. It’s difficult.

“They’ve got consistent bowlers who play for a long time on one pitch. I mean, you see two spinners who play consistently – Ashwin and Jaddu (Jadeja), they’re two very skilled bowlers. And they can also hit the bat. That makes it a bit difficult, they’re very good. they are a team,” added Rachin Ravindra.

We’ve been here a lot lately, we’ve played a lot of Test matches in India – Rachin Ravindra

Rachin Ravindra hopes New Zealand will use their past experiences in the country to put up a strong fight against India. He said:

“We’ll take what we’ve learned. We’ve been here a lot recently, we’ve played a lot of Test matches in India. The group is very cohesive and we’ve all had that experience. We’ll fight hard together.”

Rachin Ravindra is disappointed not to be able to play a warm-up game in India ahead of the Test series as New Zealand’s match against Afghanistan in Greater Noida fell through. However, Racine Ravindra is confident of his team’s preparedness as they recently played a Test series against Sri Lanka. Rachin Ravindra elaborated:

“Yes, it’s definitely a bit disappointing not to play in Noida (against Afghanistan), it would have been a good little squad. But I think the New Zealand team didn’t have the opportunity to have 6 games very often. Back-to-back subcontinent Tests, it’s of course it’s an amazing opportunity not only to celebrate the victories, but also to gain more experience and try to get better as a player and better as a group.

“Because traditionally, you know, it’s always difficult to play in this part of the world, but I think it’s a great preparation. Sri Lanka and India are different places, different surfaces, but similar in terms of the amount of spin you can play.

“Sri Lanka are a quality side, especially in their conditions and they’ve shown that they’re at the top of the World Test Championship rankings, so it was a great test for us, we got a lot out of it and learned a lot, so how do we play our game? it’s about seeing what we can play and how we can bring it to India.
