Pakistan Super League and Indian Premier League matches have been decided
The Pakistan Cricket League will clash with the Indian Premier League next year due to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 being played in the February-March window.
The PSL is usually held between February and March, but has been moved to the April-May window. The April-May window means it clashes directly with the March-May IPL.
This comes as a big blow to PCB and PSL as direct competition with the world’s biggest T20 – IPL will not do them any favours.
A source revealed that the PSL franchise owners have written to the PSL director asking for clarification on the availability of overseas stars and the schedule.
“The owners want the PCB to give them clarity on which players will be available for the PSL if the IPL is held simultaneously and also on the broadcast schedules,” a source told PTI.

Notably, the franchise owners remain in the dark on Pakistan Super League issues, with the Pakistan Cricket Board focusing on hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 next year.
There is a fear among the owners that the Champions Trophy is the top priority for the board and the PCB is ignoring PSL issues.
“The owners are worried because there is no clarity. The England and Wales Cricket Board and some other boards are talking about restrictions on their players playing in the leagues, so they want to clarify the draft of PSL players,” he said.
“Some franchise owners have asked Salman Naseer to fulfill his promise of setting up an independent PSL secretariat, which has not happened in 10 years.”
Meanwhile, more teams are likely to be added to the PSL after the next edition as they renegotiate their franchise and PCB contracts.
