The Frenchman announced his surprise retirement in December 2023 between a season in which he played only eight events, though he withdrew after his last two round. He had planned to qualify for Liv Golf for the 2024 season, but eventually withdrew his name from consideration.
Instead, he retired.
He told the French newspaper Team: “Loneliness had become extremely heavy.”
He planned to follow the training.
“I started from nothing, so I’m extremely happy with what I did. I see myself as a little kid with my little bag and my decaton clubs,” he said Team. “I was not at all predestined to have this career. Many people would say I could have done more and that I could have been world No. 1. But my strength is enjoying what I had. I am happy with that.
