Jon Rahm is happy with his move to LIV Golf, says Tyrrell Hatton. He has no regrets.
What about reports suggesting otherwise?
“Sorry to say this, but this is just media bull****,” Hatton said.
His comments came in a recently published story written by The Daily Mail Riath Al-Samarrai, whose full article can be found by clicking here. In December 2023, Rahm left the PGA Tour and joined the LIV with a nine-figure settlement, and the idea that he was unhappy with the decision gained traction last August after a story written by Golf Digest’s Jaime Diaz.
“One veteran tour insider I spoke with is certain Rahm is experiencing deep regret,” wrote Diaz, whose full story can be found here. by clicking here. “‘I’m 100 percent positive that if Jon could pay the Saudis back and get back on tour, he couldn’t write the check that quickly,'” he says. “‘Now there are only four times a year when he plays that anyone is remotely interested. He thought his stature in the game was secure no matter where he was playing, and that was a miscalculation.’
About two weeks after Diaz’s story came out, Rahm denied the claim of regret in an article written by New York Post Christian Arnold, whose full story can be read by clicking here. In 2024, after two wins in 13 events, Rahm was the LIV individual champion, while in the majors, he tied for fifth at the Masters, missed the PGA Championship, withdrew from the US Open due to a leg injury and tied for seventh in the Open Championship.
“There’s zero value to what any of them said,” Rahm told him New York Post. “I don’t know where it came from.”
He also expressed frustration at observers outside LIV Golf trying to paint LIV professionals as “disaffected” with the Saudi-funded circuit.

“I don’t know why they feel the need to say that some of us are unhappy when we’re not happy,” Rahm told him. New York Post. “It’s one of the things that frustrates me a little bit, the fact that they can claim there’s a source and there’s zero truth to it.”
IN Daily Mail story, Hatton shared similar sentiments. Before the LIV season opener last year, Hatton also left the PGA Tour sign with LIVjoining Rahm’s team.
“People showed me some of the things that were written, but because I was around Jon, that wasn’t even a thought process that crossed my mind,” Hatton told him. Daily Mail.
