It’s been a long way back in the winner’s circle for Haotong Li.

Haotong Li is not a stranger to fight golf demons.
The 29-year-old returned in favor in 2011 and won his first European title in 2016. His career has received and flows since then. He made the 2019 presidents’ Cup team, but played only two matches. He considered to leave the golf during a multi-year diving before beat Thomas Pieters to win the BMW International Open 2022.
However, Li has had only four Top-10 conclusions since his victory in 2022. This included a 2023 season in which his best end was a T31 in ISPS Handa Championship.
Golf can be a cruel sport, even for the best in the world. In his 14 years as a professional, Li has experienced them all. Whenever his game slipped, he decided to go his head down, continue to work and believe that the game would eventually pay him.
This belief was paid on Sunday when Li held Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen to win 2025 masters of Qatar Commercial Bank and Doha Golf Club.
Li opened the day with a two -stroke lead and quickly increased its advantage to four before the last round nerves began.
He cheated the 15th hole to open the door to Neergaard-Petersen but jumped back with a bird to reach the 72nd hole connected to Neergaard-Petersen in the 15th. Li gave himself a 15 -meter look for a walking bird and poured it into the heart of the cup to exorcate three years of demons.
After the victory, his fourth in the world’s DP tour, an exciting oil opened for his journey back to the winner’s circle.
“It means a lot,” Li Broadcast told the victory. “Likes like, I never thought I could go back to this position. Even after yesterday, I felt like this morning was really stress. I’m just so glad I did that kick in the last. All day I was grinded, Staying patient.
“I finally improved myself,” Li added.
