In the final, the Indian team dominates

India’s victory was built on a spectacular batting display in the final. The team scored 255 for 5, the highest score recorded in a T20 World Cup final.

Sanju Samson led the charge with a brilliant knock of 46 off 89 balls, closing the innings with confidence and flair. Abhishek Sharma He smashed the fastest fifty of the tournament in just 18 balls, resulting in a burst of 52 off 21 deliveries.

Ishan Kishan added more firepower with a quickfire 54 off 25 balls, while Shivam Dube finished the innings at the loss of 26 off just eight deliveries.

New Zealand struggled to keep pace during the chase and were restricted to 159 for nine in 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah bowled a sensational spell claiming four wickets for just 15 runs while Axar Patel supported him brilliantly with figures of 3 for 27 runs.
