Let’s start with a possible belt on Saturday lunchtime arsenal make the long drive north to Tyneside and face Newcastle in Sant Jaume park. This game was marred in controversy last season as Anthony Gordon scored the only goal of the game, and the Magpies need a similar result here given their recent Premier League woes.

Hopeful title Arsenal, meanwhile, are already five points behind the league leaders Manchester City and they cannot afford to create too big a buffer between themselves and the perennial champions.

City, however, have a tough task this weekend as they visit a Bournemouth a team that has taken points from the Gunners and Aston Villa in the previous two outings. Pep Guardiola’s side are also ravaged by injuries heading into this game, but have never lost to the Cherries in 21 games.

Liverpool overcome Brighton on Wednesday at the Amex in the Carabao Cup and the two teams will do it again on Saturday with Anfield as hosts this time. Fabian Hurzeler’s plucky Seagulls have beaten Newcastle and drawn at the Emirates this season, and the Reds, despite their excellent start to the season under Arne Slot, have proved fallible at home.

Nottingham Forest inflicted a rare defeat Liverpool on Merseyside, and Nuno Espirito Santo’s team have shown that this triumph is no fluke. They are currently seventh in the table and will like it West Ham on city land.

Gameweek 10 also features several crucial matches at the bottom of the table, with two newly promoted teams Ipswich Town i Leicester facing Portman Road. Southampton they need points at home evertonwho have an excellent record against the last five under Sean Dyche.

The day’s action concludes in Molineux where the 19th ranked Wolves host to Crystal Palace The team went up again after successive victories against Tottenham and Aston Villa. Palace’s win last weekend was their first in the Premier League this season, but they are likely to be without Eberechi Eze and Adam Wharton for their trip to the West Midlands.
