Today, a proactive Paolin faced her fear and overcame pain with an inspired concern.
Winless in six preliminary meetings against former Numera 1, Paolini hit Swiattek 6-1, 6-2 entering the Wuhan Open semifinal with one of its most impressive shows of the season.

Gauff with third seed was raised through seven games in a row, destroying German Laura Siegemund 6-3, 6-0 in a powerful show. Gauff converted five of the eight rest points into an 85-minute victory.
“I think I had a chance in the first set to even have a bigger lead, so I think I just capitalized more in those chances in the second set,” Guff said.
World no. 5 Paolini had only won one of the previous 13 groups against Swiatek.
When Swiatek struck a preface in the net, Paolini split to capture a first 26-minute 26-minute set set.
Dictating the game with her money, Paolini strangled Swiatek in the service by converting her six chances of breaking point.
An uncontrolled swiate had no response to Rome’s ruthless champion.

It was Paolini’s 26th victory in WTA 1000 this season, which is equal to the number 1 Aryna Sabalenka for second place in the tournament after 28 swiatte wins at 1000 level.
