Post-match review, full-time report and highlights

In an exciting encounter at Snapdragon Stadium, the Vancouver Whitecaps triumphed over San Diego with a score of 4-2. The game began with Vancouver asserting their dominance early on as Brian White opened the scoring in the 30th minute, converting a well-placed assist from Thomas Müller. Just before halftime, White struck again, doubling the lead with a goal assisted by Jeevan Badwal, leaving San Diego trailing 0-2 at halftime.

San Diego responded with renewed energy in the second half, and David Vázquez pulled one back in the 53rd minute, assisted by Anders Dreyer, igniting hopes of a comeback. However, Vancouver quickly snuffed out those aspirations when Bruno Caicedo scored in the 67th minute, assisted by none other than White, who was proving to be a thorn in San Diego’s side. Ralph Priso added a fourth for Vancouver in the 75th minute, again with White providing the assist to make it 1-4.

Despite a late goal by Bryan Zamblé in stoppage time, also assisted by Dreyer, San Diego couldn’t close the gap any further. The game concluded with Vancouver picking up a vital road win, showing their offensive prowess and resilience against a spirited San Diego team that struggled to contain their relentless opponents.
