Arsenal came from behind in style against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
Palace took a surprise early lead to heap more misery on a struggling Gunners when Jean-Philippe Mateta capitalized on a mistake by Jakub Kiwior and then beat the defender to finish.
arsenal They were clearly disappointing in the first half, but looked a different team after the interval, thanks in large part to the introduction of Martin Odegaard and William Saliba.
They drew level again when Gabriel Jesus scored his first goal at the Emirates Stadium since last December, before the same player scored a second and third in remarkable fashion.
Former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah pulled one back for palace potentially setting up a podium finish, but Mikel Arteta’s side held on for victory.
