Caleb Plant said last Saturday night that Edgar Berlanga “Don’t want to fight against me. “ He says they sent a contract to Berlanga (23-1, 18 COs), but there was no response.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom hoped to put a battle between Berlanga and the WBA-Tussentage Super Middleweight Champion Plant (23-2, 14 COs) because it would interest fans. However, the top two choices of Berlanga are Jaime Munguia and Jermall Charlo.
“The Bag” factor
Edgar is thinking about it “The bag” He can come in a Mexico against Puerto Rico PPV fight against Munguia. If Berlanga could beat former WBO champion champion Mungiaa, Jermall (33-0, 22 COs) would also want to interest fans.
Charlo used to be a popular fighter before he stopped fighting in 2021. Younger fans do not know who he is, but enough older people are willing to buy a battle between him and Berlanga to do decent numbers on PPV or at one of the Riyadh seasonal events if the Saudi chooses to sign him to a contract.
Berlanga is good at creating interest in his fights, but he is unable to hit fighters at A level. He can do well as long as he is connected to beatable fighters. Jermall, 35, and Mungiaa are guys that Edgar can do well. Plant would not be a good choice because it is too skilled.
Plant is finding out in the difficult way that Berlanga takes the path of the least resistance to trying a rematch with Canelo to hit without beating.
Contract silence
“No, but we sent him the contract,” Caleb planted last Saturday night to the media When asked if Edgar Berlanga is his next battle. Plant gave the interviewer a modest look when asked if Berlanga signed the contract.
“We are about to see in a day or two,” Caleb said when asked if Berlanga was responding to the contract offer. “Just stay tuned, but it won’t be him. He doesn’t want to fight against me. If he is a free agent? Is he free to go wherever he wants? If he is free to fight who he wants? Here I am. So, there you go. He hit a **, ‘says plant about how he beat Berlanga.
Plant should not be surprised that Berlanga is not going to fight against him because he mentions that his name last named his three-fighter hit after his first win over 35-year-old Jonathan Gonzalez Organ on March 15 in the Caribe Royale in Orlando. When Berlanga, 27, was questioned in the locker room, he repeatedly said, ‘F *** plant’, which means he doesn’t want to fight against him.
Berlanga, 27, returned on September 14 on September 14 of his unilateral 12-round decision loss to Canelo Alvarez by Jonathan Gonzalez-Opeiz in the first round on March 15. He is currently at the number 3 WBO and wants to get a quick re -broadcast with Canelo so he can have another big payday.
Berlanga thinks he beat Mungiaa and Charlo would get the second fight against Alvarez. Depending on how Canelo Canelo is with its glorified retirement tour, it can take more than that. There are many people to fight, but many of them are risky matches.
