PING G440 Line Breakdown (Each 2025 Model)

Earlier this month, PING announced new lineup G440building on the success of the G430 series. Here’s the breakdown of each model in the PING G440 family (drivers, fairways, hybrids, irons). I’ll cover the basics, including available lofts, prices, and who these clubs are designed for. Stay tuned for the Most Wanted test results as we get closer to the season!

PING G440 drivers

There are three drivers in the PING G440 line. PING is also offering an HL (high launch) build on the MAX and SFT, so it looks like you have four options.

Driver PING G440 MAX

The G440 MAX driver delivers mid-range performance and high MOI. It is the most versatile option in the lineup. You’ll notice that the G440 MAX has a slightly more compact profile than its predecessor, the G430 MAX. It is designed for players looking for a balance of performance from forgiveness to distance.

  • Attic available: 9°, 10.5°, 12°
  • MSRP: $599.99

PING G440 SFT Driver

The G440 SFT (Straight Flight Technology) is for golfers who slice. It has one-sided draw weight and the adjustability differs from the MAX as it allows you to switch from Draw to Draw+”. For players who struggle to hit the drives straight, the SFT will be the place to start.

  • Attic available: 9°, 10.5°
  • MSRP: $599.99

PING G440 LST driver

The G440 LST (Low Spin Technology) is the driver of high speed movement. It’s best for players who need help reducing spin and controlling ball flight. The G440 LST is a smaller 450cc head and will be the top choice for many handicap players who can generate speed.

  • Attic available: 9°, 10.5°
  • MSRP: $599.99

PING G440 HL option

HL (High Launch) construction is available with G440 MAX or SFT driver heads. HL is for players with swing speeds in the 75-90 mph range. With the HL construction, the head, shaft and grip are lighter to reduce the overall weight of the club.

  • Available driver drivers: G440 MAX, G440 SFT
  • Attic available: Same as MAX or SFT (9°, 10.5°, 12°)
  • MSRP: $599.99

PING G440 woods freeway

There are three G440 fairway woods, again with the addition of the optional HL construction as in the driver series.

Freeway PING G440 MAX

The G440 MAX is the most versatile wood in the line. PING tried to provide a balance of spin and trajectory in this club. It delivers high ball speed but slightly higher launch conditions and tighter distribution than the G430 MAX.

  • Attic available: 3W (15°), 4W (17°), 5W (19°), 7W (21°), 9W (24°)
  • MSRP: $384.99

PING G440 SFT righty

Designed for players who primarily use fairway woods off the fairway, the G440 SFT features a shallower face and the most pull-biased weight in the lineup. PING made SFT easier to hit from the ground.

  • Attic available: 3W (16°), 5W (19°), 7W (22°)
  • MSRP: $384.99

Freeway PING G440 LST

The G440 LST wood features a Carbonfly Wrap crown, a deeper profile and the new HST 220 Ti face material. The LST model is best for high swing speed players looking for performance off the tee or fairway. The price tag for this is a bit higher than other PING G440 saloons.

  • Attic available: 3W (15°), 5W (19°)
  • MSRP: $549.99

PING G440 loginbridge

PING decided to change things up a bit with the G440 hybrid line. Instead of the traditional LST, MAX, and SFT models, they made a G440 hybrid and offered six loft-specific models. Each hybrid is made specifically for players who would benefit from that loft. For example, you’ll see more pull bias at 7H and fading bias and control at 2H.

specification

  • Attic available: 2H (17°), 3H (20°), 4H (23°), 5H (26°), 6H (30°), 7H (34°)
  • MSRP: $324.99

PING G440 Handcuffs

The G440 irons offer a more compact profile than the G430 series. The G440 is designed for higher ball speeds, tighter distribution and improved aesthetics. You’ll also find a thinner face and lower center of gravity in this new game-improving iron.

  • Attic available: 4–9, PW (42°), UW (47°), 52°, 56°
  • MSRP: $169.99 (steel), $184.99 (graphite)
