Pinehurst Resort announced Monday’s plans for their latest course which will be designed by the Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw duet.

On Monday, the resort announced plans for Pinehurst No. 11, designed by the well -known duo Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. The new course will be built up support Tom DOAK PINEHURST of Tom DOAK Nr. 10which was opened a year ago in a 900 hectare site that had previously been mined for sand.
Coore and Crenshaw previously worked at Pinehurst Resort during their restoration of Nr. 2 course Before US Open 2014 Open and US Women Open. Construction of no. 11 is set to start at Pinehurst Sand Minors later this year, with a target opening date planned for autumn 2027.
“It’S’Se a wonderful site, just because of its inherent character,” Coore said in a statement. “This character was essentially created, not all are natural, but all have been recovered by nature. This land has remained from all that mine from the 1930s. The loot groups are here, and Mother Nature provided trees, and is all extraordinary. It is not often you get that kind of combination, and creates a site that is extremely interesting.”
While no. 10 is known for its wide roads and stunning spaces, no, 11 will provide a more intimate experience, with unique shape and style.
“Both courses really couldn’t be different, and we love it,” said Tom Pasley, president of Pinhurst Resort. “Models of No. 10 and No. 11 complement each other so well by opposing so much. Golf in Sandhills in North Carolina can be a different experience from any other, and we believe that Golf in Pinehurst Sand mine will be an excellent representation of this.”
This new course continues the transformation of the property of Pinhurst sand. Alongside no. 11, a new pro, restaurant and bar store are set to open in 2025, with the apartment to be followed by 2027.
