Phil Jones is among a group of former Premier League stars to graduate from PFA Business School, obtaining a diploma in sports management.
The former Manchester United defender, who retired last year at the age of 32, received his diploma at a ceremony this week. Sharing photos on Instagram on his cap and dress, Jones made known to the next step of his career.
“Course of Global Sports Directors made at @thepfabusiness”. Wrote. “Base -to my coaching badges and the current current license as the trip continues …”
Congratulations, it quickly occurred to the former teammates of the United States and England, such as Antonio Valencia and Kyle Walker, as well as Benni McCarthy and Sam Extremce, the manager who gave his professional advance to Blackburn Rovers.
Jones was not the only family name among the graduate class.
The former -Newcastle and Norwich, Tim Krul and West Brom Stalwart, Kyle Bartley, also received diplomas in sports management, while Premier League winner Danny Simpson completed a Diploma in Football Psychology, Emotional Intelligence and Leadership.
There were also current stars: Newcastle’s Yoane Wissa and the fifth champion of the League League Ilkay Gündogan were part of the last intake.
As for Jones, with Manchester United in a deep crisis outside and off the pitch, some fans will ask if a future role in Old Trafford could be on the horizon.
