Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has urged Etihad officials to be proactive transfer market to end his side’s miserable run of form.
City have dropped to seventh in the Premier League table with just one win in their last 13 games in all competitions, five points off the top four after having played a game more than Arsenal, who will return in action Friday evening.
Guardiola has not shied away from talking about his side’s injury struggles, with fitness issues allowing him to name just three recognized senior players on the bench for Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Evertonone of which was third choice goalkeeper Scott Carson.
“We have to add players, definitely,” Guardiola said Amazon Prime.
“You know, we struggle, especially at the back and in the middle, so I think we have to do it. But saying that, I don’t know what will happen. The transfer market in the winter is not easy, but everyone is aware of “That. Even our players are aware of our situation and what we have to do.”
