This year’s finals WTA will feature many stars and stripes.
Jessica Pegula has become the fourth American woman who qualified in the championships of the tournament season in Riyadh, joining Coco Guff, Amanda Animova and Madison Keys in Elite Tight-Player Field.
WTA announced today that Pegula had qualified, in addition to the Hsih Su-Wei and Jelena Ostapenko’s pair team.
They are both the sixth players and suspect in pairing to secure their place in Riyadh, with only two coveted points now remaining in singles and doubles while the PIF race in WTA’s finals descends on the wire.
Pegula, the winner of the 2023 WTA finals, will make its fourth appearance of the WTA final. She joins world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka, IgA Swiatek, defending Coco Guff, Amanda Animova and Madison Keys in the one -way equalizer.
Hsihh and Ostapenko will compete along with Katerina Siniakova & Taylor Townsend, Sara Errani & Jasmine Paolini, Gabriela Dabrowski & Erin Routliffe, Veronika Kudermeva & Elise Mertens and Mirra Andreeva & Diana Shnaider in the field of Double.
WTA finals begin on November 1 in Riyadh.
